Brief Report of the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2018

District Programme Manager, DAPCU facilitated the meeting and discussed the guidelines of APSACS on National Blood Donation Day Programme and Prepared Action Plan according to that. And He also submitted the Action Plan to ADM & HO (A&L) and put note file along with Action Plan to District Collector. The vote of thanks by Mr. N. Sakshi Gopal, DIS, DAPCU
District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit organized the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day Programme in Vizianagaram District on 1st October 2018. The Rally was inaugurated by District Medical & Health Officer at RTC Complex and the rally started at RTC Complex went to meeting venue at Conference Hall, DM & HO Office and the participants are District Officials, Voluntary Organizations, College & School Students, NCC & NSS students. Addl. District Medical & Health Officer (AIDS & Leprosy) facilitated the Programme he involved staff of RNTCP, NLEP Programme, NGOs, Nursing Colleges, Women & Child Welfare Department and DAPCU. District Medical & Health Officer and DCHS addressed the gathering at IMA Hall Office and spoke about the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation.
He requested all NGOs to organize a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at their respective working areas for improving Voluntary Blood Collection in the month of October. DM & HO, DCHS, DPO-NSS, Chairman, IRCS, Addl. DM &HO, Medical Officers, Representatives from NGOs, NLEP Staff, RNTCP Staff, nd others participated in the Meeting. We felicitated the regular Blood Donors and Institutions for encouraging them to inspire other in Blood Donation.
